Motorola released a touch screen tablet in 2011 that was partly paid for by Google in mid-2011. This tablet was designed by Motorola in partnership with Google & Verizon, and was the first tablet to offer Android 3.0 and access to 4G/LTE networks. It was presented at CES in 2011 and won the prize for the best in show.

The Xoom tablet from Motorola was way ahead of the competition, notably thanks to their 1080p video player, 2Mpx front camera, ability to record videos in 720p with the rear camera, and a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
