HP (Hewlett-Packard) is an American business specialised in IT and multimedia. It's well known in the IT market (computers and printers), and launched onto the touch tablet market in 2011, following the success of the iPad. Its first tablet, the HP TouchPad, didn't encounter the success expected, and was practically given away by many shops in mid-2011.

HP returned to the tablet market in 2012, announcing their HP Envy x2, a mixture between a touch tablet and an ultrabook. It was equipped with Windows 8, featuring a removable keyboard that allows you to use it as either a laptop or a tablet.
