Problems :
Before disassembling the GSM antenna on the iPhone 8, you have to turn it off.
Press the power button on the right side of the phone for a few seconds.
Then slide to the right to power off.
With a pentalobe screwdriver in the standard tool kit, remove the two screws at the bottom of the iPhone.
Those screws are located on each side of the dock connector.
They secure the bottom part of the iPhone 8 frame.
With the hair dryer, heat up the edges of the iPhone 8.
This will soften the seal between the screen and the frame.
Note : Heat up a little bit more the top part of the screen to make it easier to remove.
Insert an opening pick in the bottom left part of the phone and slide it around the phone.
Repeat that step on the left and right side of the phone.
Grab and gently lift the screen.
Gently pull the screen back.
Open the screen as you would open a book. Careful not to tear the three cables linked to the logic board.
With the cruciform screwdriver, remove the four screws securing the LCD screen bracket.
Grab the connectors bracket and remove it
With the nylon spudger, disconnect the battery.
Unlock the LCD/Touch screen cable.
Keep the nylon spudger and disconnect the Force Touch sensor and home button cable.
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the three screws circled in red securing the front camera/earpiece speaker/proximity sensor cable connectors.
Grab that bracket with a pair of tweezers and remove it.
Disconnect the front camera/earpiece speaker/proximity sensor with the nylon spudger.
The screen of your iPhone 8 is now disassembled.
Remove the triwing screw circle in red (Photo 1)
Then remove the two cruciform screws circled in red (photo 2)
Those screws secure the GSM antenna bracket.
Grab the bracket and remove it with tweezers.
Disconnect the two antenna cables with the nylon spudger.
Still with the nylon spudger, peel off the GSM antenna and remove it
The GSM antenna on your iPhone 8 is now disassembled.
You can replace it with a new one if needed.
