Symptoms :
Before disassembling the rear case of your iPhone 7, you have to securely turn it off.
Maintain the power button on the top for a few seconds.
Then slide to the right to "power off" button in red.
Your iPhone 7 is now turned off.
With a pentalobe screwdriver, remove the two screws circled in red.
Those screws are on both sides of the dock connector.
Those two screws hold the bottom part of the display assembly to the iPhone.
With a hairdryer, heat up the edge of the iPhone' screen as shown in red on picture 2.
This consists in peeling the seal between the screen and the rear panel.
Then put the suction cups as near as possible to the home button.
Pull the cup enough to let a gap appear.
Put an opening pick between the display and rear case.
Take a second opening pick and slide it around between the display and rear case.
Start again on the right side.
Careful when sliding the pick because the screen connection cable are on this side.
You can now open the iPhone by swinging the display up from the left side, like opening a book !
Use the Triwing screwdriver, to remove the four screws circled in red on the picture.
Then with tweezers, remove the lower connector bracket
The lower connector bracket is now removed.
Use a nylon spudger to disconnect the display connector .
Then unlock the second display connector.
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the two screws that maintain the front panel sensor assembly connector bracket.
Remove the bracket with tweezers.
The bracket is now removed.
Disconnect the proximity/front camera cable.
The complete display assembly is now removed from the iPhone 7.
Disconnect the battery by lifting the connector from the logic board.
Then start removing the tape at the bottom of the battery.
Repeat that step with the left tape.
Grab the tape by pulling it gently.
Do the same with the second tape.
If the tape breaks when pulling it, do not hesitate to use the hairdryer to remove it more easily with the nylon spudger.
Once both tapes are removed, lift the battery with the nylon spudger.
The battery of your iPhone 7 is now removed.
Remove the 2 screws circled in red with a Triwing screwdriver.
Those screws hold the volume and power buttons connector bracket.
Once unscrewed, remove the bracket with a pair of tweezers.
Disconnect the power and volume button cable with the nylon spudger.
Still with the nylon spudger, disconnect the back camera.
Remove the five screws circled in red with a cruciform screwdriver.
Remove the bracket with a pair of tweezers.
Remove the last screw with a cruciform screwdriver.
You can remove the grounding pin with a pair of tweezers.
Use a flat head screwdriver to remove the 4 rivet screws circled in red.
Those screws maintain the logic board to the rear panel.
Disconnect the antenna the the nylon spudger's tip.
Then do it again with the second antenna.
Use the spudger with the flat side and unlock the dock connector.
Remove the WiFi antenna connector with the spudger's tip.
Put the nylon spudger under the logic board and start lifting it.
The iPhone 7 logic board is now disassembled.
Use a cruciform screwdriver to remove the two screws circled in red .
Those screws hold the back camera bracket.
Use tweezers to grab and remove the camera.
Still using the spudger, remove the back camera from its socket.
Remove the two screws circled in red with a cruciform screwdriver.
Then with tweezers, remove the WiFi antenna.
There's still a screw left on the flash bracket, remove it with a cruciform screwdriver.
Use tweezers again and remove the metal bracket.
Remove the three screws circled in red with a cruciform screwdriver.
Those screws hold the volume/vibrator buttons.
Use tweezers again and grab the bracket that hold the small vibrator button and vibrator cable.
Then lift the cable and start peeling it.
Do not remove the cable just yet !
With the nylon spudger, peel off the microphone and the camera flash.
Remove the two cruciform screws that hold the power button.
Gently remove the cable from the rear panel.
You can now remove the cable from the rear panel.
Start removing the 11 cruciform screws holding the dock connector.
Then with a pair of tweezers, remove the vibrator connector bracket.
Use the spudger again and unclip the vibrator connector to remove it from its socket.
Still with the flat side of the spudger, lift the speaker and remove it.
Remove the three cruciform screws that hold the dock connector.
Peel off the dock connector cable by sliding the spudger under the cable.
Do the same with the other side of the phone.
Grab the cable with tweezers and remove it from the rear case.
Remove the last cruciform screws on the top of the rear case.
Remove the grounding bracket with tweezers.
The rear case of your iPhone 7 is now disassembled.
You can replace it by a new on.
