Symptoms :
Before disassembling the front panel of your iPhone 7, you have to securely turn it off.
Maintain the power button on the top for a few seconds.
Then slide to the right to "power off" button in red.
Your iPhone 7 is now turned off.
With a pentalobe screwdriver, remove the two screws circled in red.
Those screws are on both sides of the dock connector.
Those two screws hold the bottom part of the display assembly to the iPhone.
With a hairdryer, heat up the edge of the iPhone' screen as shown in red on picture 2.
This consists in peeling the seal between the screen and the rear panel.
Then put the suction cups as near as possible to the home button.
Pull the cup enough to let a gap appear.
Put an opening pick between the display and rear case.
Take a second opening pick and slide it around between the display and rear case.
Start again on the right side.
Careful when sliding the pick because the screen connection cable are on this side.
You can now open the iPhone by swinging the display up from the left side, like opening a book !
Use the Triwing screwdriver, to remove the four screws circled in red on the picture.
Then with tweezers, remove the lower connector bracket
The lower connector bracket is now removed.
Use a nylon spudger to disconnect the display connector .
Then unlock the second display connector.
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the two screws that maintain the front panel sensor assembly connector bracket.
Remove the bracket with tweezers.
Use the nylon spudger to disconnect the front camera cable from the logic board.
The complete screen is now disassembled.
Remove the five cruciform screws from the earpiece speaker bracket.
Then remove the bracket with a pair of tweezers.
Then gently remove the front camera with the nylon spudger flat side to free to the earpiece speaker.
Grab the earpiece speaker with tweezers and remove it.
Put the nylon spudger under the front camera cable to start peeling off the screen.
Continue by removing the microphone and then the proximity sensor.
The proximity sensor is very fragile, you have to remove it very carefully.
Use the Triwing screwdriver and remove the 10 screws circled in red on the picture.
Then grab the home button bracket with tweezers.
Then put the nylon spudger under the plate to pry.
Peel off the cable under the LCD shield plate.
The LCD shield place is now removed from the front panel.
Disconnect the home button cable with a nylon spudger while holding the connector edge.
Then lift the cable with the flat side of the spudger and remove it from the rear panel.
Remove the cable then use the spudger and gently push on the home button to remove it.
The home button is now disassembled.
The front panel is now disassembled. You can replace it by a new one.
