Step 1

Before disassembling the complete display assembly of your iPhone 7, you have to securely turn it off.

Maintain the power button on the top for a few seconds.

Then slide to the right to "power off" button in red.

Your iPhone 7 is now turned off.

Step 2

With a pentalobe screwdriver, remove the two screws circled in red.

Those screws are on both sides of the dock connector.

Those two screws hold the bottom part of the display assembly to the iPhone.

Step 3

With a hairdryer, heat up the edge of the iPhone' screen as shown in red on picture 2.

This consists in peeling the seal between the screen and the rear panel.

Step 4

With a pentalobe screwdriver, remove the two screws circled in red.

Those screws are on both sides of the dock connector.

Those two screws hold the bottom part of the display assembly to the iPhone.

Step 5

With a hairdryer, heat up the edge of the iPhone' screen as shown in red on picture 2.

This consists in peeling the seal between the screen and the rear panel.

Step 6

Then put the suction cups as near as possible to the home button.

Pull the cup enough to let a gap appear.

Put an opening pick between the display and rear case.

Step 7

Take a second opening pick and slide it around between the display and rear case.

Step 8

Start again on the right side.

Careful when sliding the pick because the screen connection cable are on this side.

Step 9

You can now open the iPhone by swinging the display up from the left side, like opening a book !

Step 10

Use the Triwing screwdriver, to remove the four screws circled in red on the picture.

Then with tweezers, remove the lower connector bracket

Step 11

The lower connector bracket is now removed.

Step 12

Use a nylon spudger to disconnect the display connector .

Step 13

Then unlock the second display connector.

Step 14

With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the two screws that maintain the front panel sensor assembly connector bracket.

Remove the bracket with tweezers.

Step 15

Use the nylon spudger to disconnect the front camera cable from the logic board.

The complete screen is now disassembled.

Step 16

Retirez les 5 vis cruciformes de la plaque du haut-parleur interne.

Step 17

Then remove the bracket with a pair of tweezers.

Step 18

Then gently remove the front camera with the nylon spudger flat side to free to the earpiece speaker.

Step 19

Grab the earpiece speaker with tweezers and remove it.

Step 20

Put the nylon spudger under the front camera cable to start peeling off the screen.

Step 21

Continue by removing the microphone and then the proximity sensor.

The proximity sensor is very fragile, you have to remove it very carefully.

The proximity and light sensor / front camera of your iPhone 7 is now removed.

Step 22

Use the Triwing screwdriver and remove the 10 screws circled in red on the picture.

Step 23

Then grab the home button bracket with tweezers.

Step 24

Use the nylon spuger to pry up under the shield plate.

Careful not to remove it entirely, it is attached by a cable.

Step 25

Peel off the LCD shield plate cable.

Step 26

The LCD shield plate is now removed from the screen. 

Step 27

Disconnect the home button cable with the nylon spudger while maintaining the connector's side.

Step 28

Lift the cable with the flat end of the spudger and gently push the home button to remove it.

Step 29

The iPhone 7 complete display assembly is now disassembled.

You can replace it by a new one if needed.
