Before disassembling the power button cable of your iPhone 6, you have to securely turn it off.
Maintain the power button on the top for a few seconds.
The SIM card tray of the iPhone 6 can be found on the right side of the phone, near the power button (on/off/sleep).
Insert the SIM card eject tool in the small hole and push to eject the SIM tray.
Then grab it and remove it.
The iPhone 6 SIM card tray is now removed.
With a pentalobe screw driver, remove the two screws circled in red on the picture.
Those screws are on both side of the lightning connector of the phone.
Those two screws maintain the bottom part of the screen on the iPhone's frame.
Then put the iSclack on the iPhone 6.
The suction cups have to be as close as possible to the home button of the iPhone as shown on the picture for a better grip.
Make sure the suction cups are well fixed to the iPhone, then open the tweezers in order to separate the screen from the frame of the phone.
With a cruciform screw, remove the five screws circled in red.
Those screws hold the front panel cable bracket that you can remove with a pair of tweezers.
With a nylon spudger, gently pry up to disconnect the cable for :
- the front camera,
- the earpiece speaker,
- the proximity and light sensor,
- and the home button cable.
Still with a nylon spudger, pry again to disconnect gently the last two cables holding the display assembly of your iPhone 6 :
- the LCD screen cable,
- the touch screen cable.
You can now pull out the complete display assembly.
The complete display assemble of your iPhone 6 is now disassembled.
Use the cruciform screwdriver and remove the two screws circled in red.
Those screws hold the two following connector brackets :
- battery connector,
- headphone jack/speaker/dock connector/microphone connector .
Then grab the connector's bracket with a pair of tweezers and remove it.
Use the nylon spudger and gently pry to disconnect the battery's cable.
Two adhesive tabs are at the bottom of the battery to make it easier to remove it.
With a nylon spudger, peel back the first battery adhesive tab from the bottom right edge of the battery.
Be careful with this step in order not to damage the adhesive tabs !
Grab and pull the adhesive tab away from the battery.
Try not to pull too hard or you may rip the adhesive strip !
Once the battery is lifted, insert a nylon spudger as shown on the picture and gently pry to remove the battery.
Grab the battery and remove it.
The iPhone 6's battery is now disassembled.
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the two screws circled in red.
Those screws maintain the upper cable bracket (WiFi, volume vibrator and power) .
Grab the upper cable bracket and remove it.
With a cruciform screw, remove the four screws circled in red.
Those screws maintain the WiFi antenna.
Then use a pair of tweezers to remove it.
With a nylon spudger, disconnect the lightning connector cable.
Still with the nylon spudger, disconnect the GSM antenna of the phone.
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the screw circled in red.
This screw maintain the angled logic board bracket.
Use tweezers and remove it.
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the two screws circled in red.
This screw maintain the top part of the logic board to the rear panel.
Then remove the two screws circled in red on the second picture which maintain the grounding bracket.
Then remove it with tweezers.
With a nylon spudger, disconnect the volume buttons cable and power button cable.
Still using the spudger, disconnect the back camera.
Lift the logic board as shown on pictures 3 and 4.
Then grab the logic board and remove it.
The logic board of the iPhone 6 is now disassembled.
With tweezers, gently peel any tape covering the upper left back camera screw as shown on the picture.
This black tape covers a small cruciform screw.
With tweezers, grab the back camera bracket and remove it.
With a nylon spudger and remove the back camera.
With tweezers, grab and remove the camera.
Use a pair of tweezers and remove the antenna interconnect cable from the rear case.
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the screw circled in red.
This screw maintain the back camera flash bracket .
Remove it using tweezers.
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the two screws circled in red.
Those screws maintain the power button cable to the phone.
Use a nylon spudger and carefully peel the first part of the cable.
Still with the nylon spudger, peel off the second part of the power button cable.
Use a pair of tweezers to grab the power button cable.
You can remove it.
The power button cable of your iPhone 6 is now disassembled.
You can replace it by a new one.
