Before replacing the dock connector of your iPhone 5C, you have to securely turn it off..
Remove the two pentalobe screws on each side of the lightning connector.
To open your iPhone 5C, put the iSclack or a suction cup on the front panel.
With the iSclack : Put the iPhone in between the plastic suction cups. Close the handle, it will pull the front panel up from the rear.
With a suction cup : Put a suction cup above the home button. Then gently pull to lift the front panel of the iPhone 5C.
Make sure the suction cup is completely on the screen.
You can now open the display assembly vertically.
Do not remove completely the front panel, it is still attached to the logic board by a few cables.
Remove the 4 screws circled in red holding the cables to the logic board.
With a pair of tweezers, remove the panel assembly cable bracket from your iPhone 5C.
With a nylon spudger, disconnect the 3 connectors on the screen :
the first one is the cable to the front camera and the proximity sensor,
the second one is the touch screen cable,
The third one, is the LCD Retina cable.
You iPhone 5C's display assembly is now disassembled.
Remove the two cruciform screws circled in red that maintain the metal battery connector bracket .
You can now remove the battery bracket.
With a nylon spudger, gently pry up on the battery connector to disconnect the logic board.
Make sure to pry on the battery connector and not on the connector on the logic board. This could damage your iPhone 5C.
Insert the iSesamo at the top of the battery to lift it up.
Careful not to damage the WiFi antenna of your iPhone 5C.
Remove the 7 cruciform screws circled in red that hold the speaker to the rear panel.
With a nylon spudger, gently pry on the antenna connector to disconnect the logic board.
With a nylon spudger, gently pull the cable as shows on the pictures..
With a pair of tweezers, remove the metal bracket holding the speaker of the iPhone 5C .
With a nylon spudger, gently pry on the iPhone's rear panel to take off the speaker.
With a nylon spudger, gently pry on the dock connector cable to disconnect it.
Remove the dock connector cable from the logic board with a nylon spudger.
Remove the dock connector cable from the rear panel with a spudger.
The dock connector is now disassembled. You can replace it by a new one.
To reassemble your iPhone 5C follow this guide in reverse order.
