Huawei is a chinese telecommunication equipment company that's been around since 1988. They're extremely successful locally, notably in chinese businesses, and launched their conquest of the global market in the early 2000's.

Huawei has become a major player in the world of telephones, with top of the range smartphones like the Mate or Ascend series. However they've also created the 'Low Cost' series - Honor, so they can present top of the range models without high publicity, and thus requiring lower investment rates for quality services.
