The iPod Shuffle first came to light in the beginning of 2005, becoming the first iPod with flash memory. Small and compact, it was one of the most popular models of iPod despite not having a screen meaning music can only be edited via iTunes. It has a central button and a touch wheel that you can use to browse your music.
Thanks to its size, it was especially enjoyed by sporty people and athletes as it could clip onto clothes. Over the 4 generations its design evolved to become slightly more square, and recharged via the jack plug with an Apple docking station rather than via USB like the first models.
